Jump Leads FAQ
From Encyclopedia Jumpleadia
Since the comic launched in July 2007, we have occasionally be asked questions about our creative process. I figured it'd be best to collate these questions here in one easy-to-access resource.

[edit] Answered Questions
[edit] You have four writers. How does that work?
Remarkably well. We're fairly autonomous with our writing, working individually on scripts (more akin to the writing on a longform British television series than an American show with a roundtable of writers throwing one-liners back and forth). We do discuss continuity and the direction of the story, however.
[edit] How far ahead do you write the comic?
We write entire scripts rather than individual pages. At the moment we have enough material to last us approximately two years, and enough plotted story to extend well beyond that.
[edit] Ben lives in Los Angeles! JjAR lives in Russia! How is that "British" Scifi-Comedy?
Well for one, Ben is British. He moved to Los Angeles in June of 2007, and Jump Leads launched shortly after that. He'd been writing it and fine-tuning the idea for a good year or so prior to that, however. Besides, if nothing else, three quarters of the writing team is British and still lives in the UK.
