The thirteenth page going up happens to fall on a Friday. Is that a good omen or a bad one? Ultimately, that's for you to decide. But before you do that, you should probably
read the page. It's very nice. One of my favourites.
You may have read about Kris Straub's Starslip Crisis crossover project,
Alterverse War, where he's basically inviting the creators of science-fiction webcomics to submit ships and characters from their creations and have them do battle with
other ships and characters from
other people's creations. It's a very spiffy idea, and Kris was nice enough to drop an email to several sci-fi webcomic dudes including myself and
Tauhid Bondia and ask if we wanted to participate. I said "Yes," and I seem to recall Tauhid saying he'd said "Yes." It looks like Meaney and Llewellyn will be getting themselves involved in the
Alterverse War at some point in the future, which is
very spiffy.
Kris has made is clear to us that the spin-off is very much non-canon so far as he's concerned, and I'm going to go by the same rules. I can't vouch for
other Sci-fi webcomics out there who may well decide to incorporate it into their canon, but so far as
Starslip Crisis and
Jump Leads is concerned, it's happening very much outside of canon.
I also realise I'm probably mentioning Llewellyn and Meaney's inclusion
exceptionally early, as he's only recently announced the Alterverse Wars and in fact only emailed me on Tuesday. We may well be weeks away, perhaps even
months away from the central pair of the
Jump Leads crew making an appearance, but I wanted to give you guys a heads up. It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.
