Yes you are, Matt Smith. You most certainly are.

Indeed. ^_^ But then, I wasn't worried beforehand - Grand Moff can, after all, be considered to have something of a clue regarding Doctor Who, and one doesn't get into the National Youth Theatre without an extraordinary degree of talent.
Still.. so good to see the Doctor return, and yet again, in an incarnation familiar, yet original. And I'm certainly not going to complain about the apparent setting of more stories off-Earth, going by the teaser reel at the end, nor the show's migration - at last! - to HD.
I wonder if the new crew will try for occasional ambiguity in the characters, less of the old binary Good or Evil tags.. doubtful, but it'd be nice to hope.

Nothing wrong with Matt Smith, but to me the first episode felt like just a 'set up' to what is yet to come. I thought it was a bit dull... But Steven Moffat is a genius, so there's plenty of brilliant stuff coming up I'm sure.
The first episode dropped hints of things to come, but it was very much its own thing. Brilliantly written, incredibly well-directed and edited, and pretty much everything I could ever want from a season premiere of any show ever. Best premiere they've ever done for Doctor Who, in my opinion.
