While Jump Leads may be on a temporary hiatus, you may be interested to know that the political blog fellow Jump Leads writer Andrew Taylor and I have been running since 2008 is still up and running.

But, Sir... is a blog devoted to the stupid, poorly-written, poorly-planned and outright ridiculous petitions that get posted on the British government's official ePetition website. The petitions tend to be racist, outside the government's remit, selfish, dumb, or some combination of the four, and we've made it our job to collect them in one place.

For our readers in America, it's a great site to go to if you want reminding that it's just not the US that has to put up with "Tea Party" type morons. For our readers in the UK, it's a horrifying look at the way people actually think in your country. For everyone else... well, it's a website you can visit every now and then and read safe in the knowledge that you're not that dumb.

If you're a fan of blogs like spEak You're bRanes and STFU, Conservatives then But, Sir... should be right up your alley.

Sure, why not? 'Cause nothing's so good for the health of your fanbase as calling dedicated readers 'morons' during an extended hiatus.

Considering how the Tea Party protesters have been acting over the last couple of days (shouting the N-word at black Congressmen? Really?) I think busting out the M-word is perfectly justified.

Except if you watch the video of the incident in question ...

... they didn't.

Good Lord, you're not on their -side-, are you? They're loons, the whole boiling of 'em...

Besides, Ben isn't calling the readers morons but the Tea Party mentalists; this would have been evident to you had you actually -read- his post instead of getting all worked up about the word morons.

Hey, maybe if you write a petition, you could get Ben to apologise!

There are always fringe elements to any political group, and one shouldn't use the craziest, and often smallest, people who show up at a rally to characterize thousands of other people. Especially when the main concern is only fiscal responsibility.
