So Kris Carter's contribution appears to have sort of fizzled. Not sure what's going on here - haven't heard from him. Hopefully everything is okay.

As a reminder, the hiatus should be over some time during this month. Hopefully.

In the meantime my search for a new dayjob continues. You may recall at the end of August when I broke down and sort-of begged for aid. Rather awkward thing to have to do and I still feel bad for having to ask for help because, and I genuinely believe this, I don't feel you guys owe me anything. You don't. Right now I owe those of you who helped keep me afloat in September a mountain of gratitude. At the very least I owe you a Short Story, which I promise you is currently In The Works.

As a result of my financial situation it looks like the second Jump Leads book, Looking For Hub In All The Wrong Places, is on indefinite hold until I can actively finance its printing. I'm not going to go the Print On Demand route this time, instead opting to print in bulk and just sell the book myself. It's more cumbersome but the profit margin is higher, which means I can wear shoes that aren't made from Kleenex boxes. Eventually.

At the moment I am Between Cars, which makes finding a Regular Day Job difficult. So, while I'm not going to put an all-out call for financial aid this time, I will say this: Every donation that comes my way will be going towards Buying a Car.

Incidentally if anyone is LA is selling an automatic car for $17, please get in touch.

I've seen other webcomics do a presale for books. You figure out how much money you need to print, then hold a presale. Once you reach that amount, the book goes to the printer.

Uthor had the same idea as I did...have presale orders, that way you don't have to fund the cost yourself.

Sorry for the delay! Some real life stuff cropped up, but I did email, I promise! Then again, the real life stuff involved the complete and utter abject failure of my internet provider, which likely didn't help things any at all. New page on it's way!
