About a week or so ago, James Moran (writer of Severance, and part of the writing team for both Doctor Who and Torchwood) held a caption competition. The picture: James Moran standing in the Torchwood Hub set. The prize: The winner's name will be written in to whatever Moran works on next, along with a signed copy of the thing when it comes out on DVD.

James posted the results of the contest today and, what do you know, Jump Leads writer Andrew Taylor won!

Andrew's submission to the compo is absolutely cracking, and the minute I saw it pop up in TweetDeck I thought, "Bugger. I'm going to have to come up with something better than that." Turns out I was right!

While Andrew has sent me three or four scripts for Jump Leads stories, nothing of his has yet appeared on the site. One of his stories is set to follow the current one, although we haven't decided which one yet.

Anyway, well done Andrew. Congratulations, and all that gubbins. Smiley

A conversation I see in my future:

"I won a DVD."
"Cool. What is it?"
"I don't know. It might be a book."
"I see." [backs away]

I hope it's sci-fi somehow. It would amuse me that after two years of putting sci-fi names in our thing, we end up with my name in a sci-fi thing.
