I've not long received an email from JjAR informing me that he hasn't heard back yet about his Visa to come to the UK, so it looks as though he sadly won't be making it to the Thing this weekend. It's quite disappointing for all of us, as we were hoping to finally meet our esteemed artist in the flesh. Oh well... it wasn't meant to be this year.
So come Saturday you're left with the Jump Leads Writing Force Ultra Team Go. There'll be myself, Paul Varley (writer of "Who Wants To Rule The World?"

, Euan Mumford (writer of "Trojan Horse"

, and Andrew Taylor (writer of an uncoming issue). We'll also have Michelle Osorio, with whom I co-wrote
Boomer's Day. So that'll be fun.
JjAR's unfortunate absence has me upset and disappointed, however we're not giving up on getting him to a Con. He's going to try and get a Visa to come to the US for Comic-Con. The problem is neither of us can afford to pay for a plane ticket for him. With that in mind, I would like to remind you wonderful, wonderful people of the "Support the Lead Service" donation button down there to the bottom-right of this text (it's on the front page if you're reading this on the RSS feed). That's a PayPal donation button. We're not going to beg or anything, but every penny we can scrape together gets us one penny closer to finally,
finally getting JjAR to a convention. And what better convention than the biggest comics convention in the world?
Sorry Page 24 hasn't gone up yet. I've been very, very jetlagged. I'll make time for it tomorrow.
