JjAR is back from vacation, which means Issue #5 will resume on Tuesday January 13th. Whoo!
On a slightly more wobbly note, I found out this week that I am being laid off from my job at Disney. I had been planning on leaving in February once I'd learnt how to drive (my first lessons are next week) but it looks as though that decision has been made for me, and a little sooner than I'd planned. Rather than try to jump back into yet another unfulfilling desk job, I will instead use the time I have this year to focus on building a career as a writer and an actor. Hopefully this will do well, at least well enough to ensure I don't starve to death on the streets of Los Angeles!
The first Jump Leads book is all but finished - the cover needs to be finalised which I can't do while my copy of InDesign CS3 has decided to stop working. I'm very fortunate to have a friend with contacts within Adobe so the problem will be resolved fairly soon, but I'd like to have the book out before Wonder-Con. Frankly, I've missed far too many of my personally-set deadlines because of this computer problem.
This year is going to be a big year - both for me personally, and for us on the Jump Leads team - and I can't wait to see what else it's going to throw our way. I hope you'll stick around for the ride.
