Jump leads has finally made the move over to
SoulGeek Webcomics, which can only be seen as a
good thing. I'm really excited for us to be rubbing elbows with the likes of
David Reddick,
Kris Straub and
Dirk Manning - these guys have some real talent, and for us to even be
asked to join the already awesome team of awesomeness is... well, it's pretty golly gosh darned awesome.
If you're new to the comic, then welcome! Jump Leads is British scifi-comedy in the tradition of shows like
Doctor Who and
Red Dwarf (incidentally, for those of you who are interested, there's apparently a
brand new Red Dwarf 1-hour special on the way!). We are all wonderful, loving people who only want to make you happy. Or something.
If you're already a fan of Jump Leads, then welcome back and I hope the new site isn't too jarring a change for you. SupSuper, our Web Gorilla, has made every effort to ensure that the transition is as painless as possible, for which he has been paid two additional bananas. The story will march onwards as usual - we're still updating on Tuesdays and Fridays. Other than that, it's business as usual - the only main difference is that we're now going on a US schedule rather than a UK one, so people in the US will have to actually wait for Tuesday and Friday as opposed to Monday evening and Thursday evening, while our UK and European readers will have to wait until mid-morning.
So that's it! I'm trying to encourage JjAR to use the new site as a sort-of Sketch Blog, so we might see some more extra content rolling by. I'll also be making an effort to post some of my short stories and
ficlets here, and we'll also keep you informed of... well, a lot of things! Things like the new Jump Leads book ("Tales From The Flurry", collecting the first two stories) which is due to be published very, very soon.
Enjoy!
