I sometimes used to feel like I'm the only person in the Universe who actively watched and enjoyed
Farscape, which probably had more to do with its bad placing on the BBC's schedule than anything else. I believe that the UK Scifi Channel used to air it too, but there's a stigma with that channel in the UK - it either shows old shows nobody watches anymore, or airs really rubbish exclusives like
Lexx. It's beginning to claw back some respect with the first-run airing of
Heroes (although the BBC has picked up that up now, which is good as Scifi doesn't broadcast in Widescreen but the BBC do).
I'm digressing again. That's quite a talent I have.
Farscape was, it seems, rather popular here in the US. Popular enough to merit having some of the loose ends wrapped up with a miniseries at any rate (which, incidentally, I haven't seen, but only because I haven't seen the entirety of the show's original run - I blame the BBC's scheduling for that). Now it seems that Farscape has proven popular enough to be revived by Scifi US - not with a new season on television, but with a series of so-called "webisodes". According to Monday's edition of
Scifi Weekly, ten episodes have been commissioned for
SCIFI Pulse, apparently as "part of a slate of new original online programming." Lawks - exciting stuff. I think I'm going to have to invest in the DVDs of the original series run, so I'm up to speed and know exactly what's going on.
