It's a lazy joke that boils down to "people who don't have the same politics I do must be amazingly stupid".
It's barely acceptable in a general humor comic. But considering the time between updates, something that shows a little thought or self-reference would have been more appropriate.
Not to mention, insulting some of your audience is probably not the wisest attempt to hold on to them when updates are sparse.

I think people are getting a little worked up about this. It's not like there's been a proclamation from the entire Jump Leads writing team saying this is the only viable political opinion to take. It's merely the opinion of one, rather cynical, character within the universe of the comic itself.
I mean, remember when Nimoy dissed Celine Dion? That wasn't saying that everyone who likes Celine Dion is wrong. It was just the opinion of one character who personally didn't like her music.
Now, if we had EVERY character saying the same thing then that would be a bit suspect. But, as I say, if you don't agree with Llew, don't agree with him. He's one man. It doesn't mean the comic's suddenly gaining a political agenda.

I agree entirely with Euan Mumford
Also Sarah Palin was pretty dumb anyway :V
(P.S. Comment threads on the internet never stay civil, because after one person misjudges how much another person (or the host) meant their statement, people feel the need to correct the misjudger, and in the end there only need to be two people who think that what's being talked about matters.)

Exactly. As an Aussie I couldn't give two short jumps about US politics........ So drop it eh.
Kurt nails it, as does Euan. It's a lazy joke, Jump Leads is better than that, and I don't like losing one of the few places I can come for a laugh without being insulted. Hence, the double bird, which was aimed more at folks like Cass than anyone.

Thoroughly enjoy 'Jump Leads' great funny stuff . . . . until the political lameness. It's only funny when it fits the context. Keep updating and we'll donate more often. BTW, how is that new Prez workin' for ya?
Without wanting to get too involved in a huge political debate (those are really more Andrew's thing), regardless of whether you support the Democrats or the Republicans it's difficult to argue how having Sarah Palin in ANY position of authority is a dangerous thing considering her history. She's not in politics to effect any real sort of change. She's in it for the power and the financial gain.
A swipe at Palin is not a swipe at the Republicans, so far as I'm concerned. It's a swipe at an individual who should not, under any circumstances, be in power.

Have to agree with Ben here...Sarah Palin jumped ship in Alaska when she had the best opportunity to make more money. Pure & simple. If she had any real interest in being a politician she wouldn't be on Fox as a pundit/interviewer.
And that hopey, changey thing is working quite well for me, thanks for asking.
And also, learn to take a joke. Jeeez.
Now for the reality of why I'm here: Thanks for a great comic and keep em coming, I just arrived when you had your little holiday....

Huh? I would have voted for Palin, and I thought it was funny!
